If you're like me, the summer means lots of times in the woods. Hunting, foraging, camping, bushcraft - hell, even just a nice stroll - all this brings me out to the forest when the weather gets warm. So when I decided to make something summery while there's still some time left in the season, I decided to make it an homage to the deep woods.
The Ent scent (heh) is an amalgam of forest-based essential oils like cedarwood and white/silver fir, and oakmoss. It's accented with spice - a little cinnamon, a little nutmeg. It's not enough to overtake the wood elements. Just gives it a little peppa.
Powdered dandelion and cocoa gives you some minor exfoliation, though we don't consider it an exfoliating soap. It also throws some nice antioxidants into the mix. Dandelion greens are high in vitamin A in particular, which your skin is a big fan of.
The coconut oil we use as the soap's base is silky smooth and moisturizing. It really makes a great bar of soap that is unlike anything you've tried before. Give it a shot, and feel free to check out some of our other soaps while you're at it!
A Word on Exfoliating Soaps
At MONSTER Flesh & Mane, we use four grades of exfoliation in our soaps.
These soaps do not have any exfoliation ingredients and thus require no special instructions.
With the finest grit, the exfoliating ingredients in these soaps will gently scrub away dead skin from the topmost layer. Less effective, but great for daily use. Use as normal.
These soaps have slightly coarser grit, or harder bits that will exfoliate a bit harder. If you just scrub away with these, you may cause some irritation and scratching of your skin. Slow it down a bit.
The exfoliating ingredients in these soaps are coarse or especially hard, and will seriously abrade away dead skin. Use slow, deliberate circles when scrubbing with these soaps. Not for every day use; use only as needed.
